theme / motif

Our wedding will have a nautical theme using the colors navy and white and hints of golden yellow.  We are aiming for a casual, fun, laid-back feel for our wedding.

AISLE
I wanted to put balls of varying sizes on the sides of the aisle like the photo below.  But to save, I am planning to use paper lanterns instead of flower balls/pomanders.

And if I can have someone help do the aisle like the photo below, that would be awesome.

guestbook We will be using a signature mat where our guests can sign.

seating cards I will be attaching each seating card to a boat wheel and stick them on a bed of sand contained in a wooden or galvanized tray.  If budget permits, I will use boat wheels and treasure chests based on the guests' meal choices.

Another option is using traditional tent place cards.

I learned of this idea of using a lantern for a card box from knottie pmpkn219

tables

I am still undecided whether to use colored or white table linens.  But here are a few inspirations.

TABLE MARKERS
For table markers, I plan to use model sailboats to stay with the nautical theme.  I plan to paste number cut-outs on the sails of the sailboats.

If the model sailboats don't work because of budget, I'd probably just use wooden numbers

The photo below is a great idea for table napkins.  You'll notice the napkin is not really a napkin, but a kitchen towel.

And here's an adorable packaging that fits well with our nautical theme.  Instead of horseshoe, I'm planning to stamp our monogram.

cake

I was on a mission to look for something simple, a little less nautical, but still has a touch of the “ocean.”  And I found this from Brides.com.  The colors are perfect too.

guest welcome bag We'll be giving our OOT guests who are staying for at least a night welcome packages
